friday nights means prayer night for sanctuary berkeley, a soon to be planted church!
it was such a blessing to be back with the escalantes at the escalante's!
mrs.escalante, corynne, was definitely used by the Lord tonight to encourage me. this woman has the biggest heart for the Jesus--it's fantastic! she's also very gracious in her wisdom, &for that i am grateful! she reminded me that things are going to stink, but that doesn't mean they aren't good [granted they are from the Lord, which our topic happens to be]. that simple reminder was all i needed: it's going to stink--it does stink, but it's still good, &the Lord is faithful compassionate &just. it's okay to cry. it's okay to struggle with the same feelings; as long as you're remembering to turn to the Lord to be your comfort. as long as you're using scripture &the power of the Holy Spirit to face your struggles. &&&most importanly, she reminded me that everyday is new &that Jesus is always there.
